SCATTERING OF ASHES ON RIVER MERSEY
Mersey Ferries permit families to scatter cremated ashes from the stern of their ferries. They usually allow this on the 10.00AM and 11.00AM sailings from the Pierhead.
This must be pre-booked with Mersey Ferries by phoning 0151 330 1482. They do not charge for this service but each family member will need to buy a ticket for the sailing.
You may wish to invite your own priest, vicar or minister to accompany you and lead a prayer.
The chaplains at Liverpool Seafarers Centre may also be able to accompany you and lead a prayer as you scatter the ashes of your loved one. They can be contacted on 0300 800 8080. Please contact them to check availability before booking with Mersey Ferries.

If you have any surplus Mobile phones with chargers, the Liverpool Seafarers Centre would be very grateful. Sometimes these are needed for distressed Seaman.
Best Wishes
